Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Here's what gets me:

"Roth also said that Foley was under the influence of alcohol when he made the alleged Instant Messages and E-mails to the teenage pages."

Well didn't one of those come out today where he interrupted a house vote to have cybersex with one of these teenagers? So... was he under the influence of alcohol then while he was voting in Congress or what?

Oh, I get it. Blame everyone & everything else. Take no personal responsibility for YOUR OWN ACTIONS.

Every day a person has to make choices so Foley decided he was going to "be that guy" , that's it! What has happened before is always a consideration but ultimately a decision has to be made.

Foley probably wears the band T-shirt to the band's concert.

What always gets me is that these kids always say silent. I guess before Sonic the Hedgehog was on TV telling us 80s kids that sexual abuse is "NO GOOD!" people just didn't know how to say "S.O.B., you're being a prick; lay off or I'm going to ruin your career."

Hm. I also find it interesting how abuse then (though lamentable) makes abuse NOW excusable. Someone smarter than I explain to me how being abused oneself turns on the drooling pervert switch in one's brain.
