Patience Pays Off Big for Dallas iPhone Fan

advertisement

This story is absolutely hilarious... check out what happens to one woman when she tries to buy $100,000 worth of iPhones from an AT&T store, and how one smart young man at the front of the line was able to capitalize on the situation.

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Next time she comes up with a bright, money-making idea, she should just leave her husband's money in the bank and go bake a pie.

That was wonderful. It warms the bitter void in my chest to see one of these Ebay entrepreneurs get their dreams of exploitation smashed apart. I'm guessing the reason why we don't see more of her after learning the store's policy is less likely do with rushing home to bake them brownies than creative and abundant use of the term "@!$%#".

She carried $16,000 in cash and wasn't robbed at gunpoint? That is something to be happy with in itself.
